As always this too is beautiful yet dark in its nature, just as you can be, right before the truth of your inner light breaks through and shines from your heart. I can remember feeling this way before, ah but never say never again especially when it comes to love... be well my friend :)

Dear "Charles Darwin",

I am a female and I agree with this post.

Getting to the point:
In essence, the writer is revealing that mature women act from a place of security; whereas, immature women act from a place of insecurity. Of course, it is possible to fluctuate between behaviors. Therefore, a woman would be someone who consistently acts from a place of security and a girl would be someone who consistently acts from a place of insecurity.

On your perspective of the "complicated nature of girls and women":
The notion of complicated females is commonly accepted in society; however, keep in mind that we also live in a world of dualities. Just as women are supposedly "complicated" and "mysterious", there are commonly distributed behavioral cues in society that can distinguish maturity from immaturity. Yes, every individual is unique and different. And believing in both concepts would bring us back to the perspective of dualities.

On a side note:
I don't think "The Difference Between a Woman and a Girl" can be limited to just women, but some men, as well.

thanks for the wonderful poem.. it's obviously written about a lover, but having just lost my Mom recently... it was easy to apply it to that. thanks for capturing the feelings so eloquently.
