The Color Pink Pisses Me Off! Be Original Damnit!

Posted in Essays on March 30th, 2006

OMFG….everywhere you turn there’s the color PINK. In the media, in advertisement, at work, out at the bar, in MYSPACE profiles, websites, and the list goes on and on endlessly. It’s everywhere, and someone must stand up against this offensive color!!!! Has anyone taken a moment to stop for one bloody fucking moment and asked: why? Seriously, it’s beyond just being a fad now - it’s an epidemic. Frankly, I think it’s a god damn shame how popular people have made this color, and the perfect example of how many Americans strive and thrive on the principle of image. Hollywood says PINK is in, and therefore everyone - EVEN MEN - follow the tread. Fashion junkies - you piss me off. And men, PINK does NOT look cool on you. In fact, I’ll refrain on what I really think of men wearing pink inspires in me. Trust me - that’s a courtesy.

Further more, I think it’s sad that so many people out there conform to this god awful color. Especially hot pink. Every time I see hot pink I just want to tear out my eyes. I think I need to go back to my days of wearing all black. Perhaps this will fix the imbalance.

In closing, I hope you pink wearing trendy fashion wanna-be find originality outside your pink colored world of shit and lies. Express yourself - not Hollywood. Do yourself a favor and burn all your pink materialist possessions. Break free of the fashion police chains that bind you, and know freedom of fashionable expression once again. May this epidemic end soon, and everyone return to a black colored universe (that was a cynical comment).

Marriage

Posted in Essays on August 14th, 2004

In regards to this topic about relationships, marriage, and commitment, I shall say but only this: We live in a society that is plagued by fear, depression, and many broken traditions. Unfortunately, the once high values set by people within their communities and cities has all but vanished from our time in this here and now. Marriage, at its root, lacks the value it once held in our society. Perhaps this is the price of freedom so many sought in the 80’s and well into the 90’s. Marriage can be a haven to retreat to for those that have a flourishing one, but for the majority their marriage(s) have been hell in the long run, and it is within this vast group of people that stems the idea now that marriage is a joke at best.

True love is hard to find in these times, and for those that can capture it - bless you. It’s a shame there are not more examples of successful marriages than failed. I image if such was the case more would have faith in such a committed affair.
